Grape varieties: Sangiovese.
Characteristics:
- The colour is incredibly deep and intense, impenetrable ruby.
- The bouquet is amazingly rich, opening with scents of ripe fruit such as plum, which lead into berries, in particular redcurrant and blueberry; fragrances of balsam weave into spicier notes of clover and cinnamon, with an elegant grace note of coffee at the finish.
- The entry on palate reveals perfectly integrated tannins complemented by a good, but not excessive alcohol level and a well balanced acidity. The finish is an incredibly pleasing crescendo of flavours.
Serving: Serve at 18°C as a fine accompaniment to aged cheeses (pecorino), marinades and meat stews and game.
